Intermediate and Advanced training

Continued training for all

We offer intermediate training at two different learning levels for those who have completed the Puppy and beginner training and those who have done training elsewhere.

Intermediate one is the first step out for beginners. This class concentrated on the life skills started in the beginner class. Once the life skills are well developed, we will promote you to intermediate two, where you will be given the opportunity to complete your Kennel Club Bronze Award.

Intermediate Two is for those who have graduated from Level One, achieved their Bronze award or have comparable training. We may assess the dog before adding them to the class list.

Intermediate two both fine-tunes the basic skills, but opens the door to a whole host of additional skills. There is also the opportunity to complete the Kennel Club Silver award.

Advanced class is for those who have graduated from Intermediate Two or have come to us with a Kennel Club Silver award, here the skills for the Gold Award are practised, along with a wide range of additional activities. Members of this class are part of our display team and some compete in various dog sports.

Rally Obedience Training Group

We offer competitive Rally Obedience Training for those dogs who have passed their Bronze award or equivalent training. Rally is like an obedience obstacle course where the handler and dog negotiate their way around a course following the sign instructions. It is a great way to build a bond with your dog, but also continues to challenge both dog and handler well above the good citizen scheme level. The group has several Rally judges training with us and we run the Durham County Rally Competition each year.
