Service Description

This two-hour session allows owners to discuss a wide range of adolescent dog concerns and receive specialist training tailored for dogs aged 6 to 10 months to navigate the challenging "teenager" phase. This helps keep your dog on the right track, ensuring they reach their full potential while avoiding common adolescent pitfalls like sudden training regression, boundary-testing, and secondary fear periods. The training is held in the owner's home, and sessions can include targeted behaviour modification if it is right for your dog at that time. The minimum age for this service is 26 weeks old. Key Adolescent Issues Addressed * Training Regression: Hormonal surges and brain remodeling often cause dogs to "forget" basic cues. * Boundary Testing: Increased independence leads to selective hearing and poor impulse control. * Second Fear Phase: Looming developmental shifts can trigger sudden reactivity to familiar objects. * High Energy: Physical maturation demands constructive outlets to prevent destructive chewing.
