Rally Training Level 4 Plus - 12/03/25

Service Description

If you are a new client, please contact us before booking. This course develops the skills of those already hooked by the sport of rally and working off lead at level four or above. Dogs new to rally or competing at levels one to three should book the other sessions for beginners up to level three. Rally training happens on Wednesday evenings - 7.45 pm to 9.30 pm, with a maximum group size of 12. The first half of the session is group training, where all the skills for the higher signs are taught, and the level one to three signs are fine-tuned. The second half of the session can be in different formats. There will be sessions where parts of a course are practised in small groups, including linked sign sequences and other sessions where complete courses will be run individually. Occasionally, we will run mock competitions, and participants are given the opportunity to scribe or judge if they wish. Videos may be used to help pinpoint performance improvements. Handlers will be expected to help set up and clear the necessary equipment for the second half of the session. We are the first group in County Durham to offer this type of training. Many of our handlers compete with their dogs; some are judges or scribes. We volunteer to run the Rally Competition for Durham County Canine Society every year and do demonstrations at local events, Such as the North East Dog Festival.
